Detty December: Mr Jollof Says Nigerian Artistes’ Booking Fees Are Becoming Unrealistic

According to Mr Jollof, failure to adjust pricing could lead to a disappointing festive season. He argued that if artistes continue to demand high rates, “this Detty December might not deliver the energy we all expect.”

The comedian emphasized that fans, event promoters, and local communities are feeling the pinch of the current economic climate. With inflation and reduced purchasing power, many people will struggle to pay steep fees for concerts, appearances, or performance bookings.

Detty December is often the biggest celebration season of the year, marked by music concerts, comedy shows, parties, and a surge in activity in the hospitality industry.
